Patient Education

Education is central to everything we do.

Our Registered Nurse-Health Educators plan, lead and coordinate free cancer awareness and prevention programs here at our office and throughout the community.

Our Navigating the Journey program is offered quarterly as a six-week educational series for cancer patients and caregivers. Class topics vary and may include:

  • Navigating Cancer Treatments and Side Effects
  • Navigating Nutrition Now and After Treatment
  • Navigating the Emotions of a Cancer Diagnosis
  • Navigating Cancer through Integrative Therapies
  • Navigating Recipes for Nutrition and Taste
  • Navigating Women's Sexuality During and After Cancer

Our ‘Facing Forward’ program is a quarterly lunch-and-learn opportunity featuring health care related topics of interest to our patients and the general public.

Check the online calendar for updated class schedules and please register in advance.

Our health educators are available to present programs to community groups, businesses and churches.

The goal of these programs is to teach healthy lifestyle practices and to increase the awareness of routine cancer screenings and resources in our community. Please contact our office directly if you are interested in scheduling a program.
