Cancer Wellness Groups for Women During and After Treatment
These programs are designed to share experiences and
gain insightful knowledge from professionals.
Day Time Groups:
1. “Survive and Thrive” - breast group that meets twice a month on the 1st
and 3rd Thursdays of each month @ noon. Both of these groups meet @ Cancer Society of
Greenville
County’s office @ 113 Mills Avenue,
Greenville, SC
29605. They are led by an experienced professional counselor
who helps participants identify their strengths, learn coping skills, share
common concerns, emotions and feelings, recognize that their feelings are
normal, etc. in a safe, non-judgmental environment. There will also be outside professional
speakers at some of the meetings. Call Jenny

Evening
Groups:
2. “Uplift”– Meets at Westminster
Presbyterian Church (2310 Augusta
Rd., Greenville SC
29605) @ 5:30 on the
first Monday of each month, except in September when it meets on the Tuesday
that follows Labor Day. Speakers will be
featured September to May, with sharing sessions in the summer months. A Christmas Holiday party will be in

3. “Young
at Heart” – for women of all ages – meets on the 1st Tuesday
of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 @ Taylors First Baptist Church (200 W. Main

programs with speakers from Sept. to May, with sharing sessions during the
summer months.
